Dedicated to our hand raised Jersey cows, complete with their horns. This is a reflection of the biodynamic growing practices and the central role the cow and the moon take in managing fertility in a sustainable way. After being fed by our children, the calves would run with the kids around the paddock. Once at full size and seeing someone in the paddock they would come barrelling down the steepest hills to see you. A bit scary when in winter they could slide for nearly a hundred metres towards you! However, a much better option in my opinion than running with a bull hoping not to be gored…
About Mt Bera
Mt Bera produces only single vineyard estate grown wines. Located in the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills, draped along the rugged Torrens Gorge, they aim to minimise any intervention, working with nature to produce balanced wines.
They focus on regenerative viticulture, using biological, organic and biodynamic practices. Mt Bera have also chosen to pursue wild ferments with about half of their grapes.
