Despite its complexity, and it’s intensity, this is an easy chardonnay to love. The fruit floods, the oak seduces, the linger of the finish makes it memorable. Grilled peach, toast, hazelnuts, apple and a custard cream aspect have this wine singing across various octaves. It rolls with its own punches. It’s a beauty.

A long, cool growing season with average crops and abundant rainfall has resulted in wines with outstanding varietal flavour.
WINEMAKING
A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine – handpicking and whole bunch pressing directl y to 500 litre French oak puncheons for a natural fermentation followed by a 9 month maturation on lees.

This is complex and engaging from the get-go. White stone fruit, grilled citrus, praline and gun flint all v ie for attention.
With time in the glass, light floral notes unfurl adding to the sense of dimension and complexity. To taste, just ripe white fleshed nectarine makes way for grapefruit, melon skin and ginger lil y flavours that harmonously sit within the taught, seamless and long palate. Tastes linger for minutes. A serious, complex wine with a long future.
