100% Cabernet Sauvignon
A beautiful deep maroon with purple-blue hues. Aromas of blackcurrant with leafy tobacco and cedar top notes. The palate has a sweet berried fruit character flowing over the palate and harmonising well with the characters well structured layered tannins.
Pair with Braised Beef Cheeks and Black Olives.
95 points – “Deep ruby in the glass with cassis, bitumen and tobacco aromatics. Medium to full-bodied with punchy black fruits that are well bound by a gravelly tannin profile which carries it long and lingering. As it flows to the finish, we see further dark mineral savoury notes blossoming. No rush to enjoy this wine; it has many years ahead of it.” – Stuart Knox, The Real Review
93 points – “A firmish Great Southern cabernet displaying structure and poise. The aromas are a mix of blackcurrant, plum and cherry with a lightly toasted overlay of oak. The palate, which opens up with breathing displays more vibrant dark fruit characters and a slightly ironstone minerality complementing. Make sure you decant this one to ring out those attractive fruit characters.” – Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot.
