Brilliant crimson with purple hues. Plum, black cherry, raspberry with musk, violets and hints of aniseed. Composed, juicy and fresh with vibrant dark cherry, mulberry and plum fruit flavours over rosewater, fennel and exotic spice. An even, complex and seductive palate with velvety tannins, fine texture and great persistence.

Reported to be one of the best vintages of the 21st century with a combination of higher yields and excellent quality. Rainfall was early in the growing season avoiding any fruit damage, temperatures were warm and consistent throughout summer with no days above 35’C in February. This allowed for slow gentle ripening and time for the grapes to accumulate rich intense flavours. This wine is soft and vibrant demonstrating the best of what McLaren Vale Grenache has to offer. Pair with Slow roast duck breast with fig and an anchovy salsa.
