Elegance with length and drive. Floral lift combines with fresh cherries, red fruit and subtle savoury undertones. A complex lingering palate of berries, blossom and spice resolves seamlessly along the palate to a lingering finish with hints of charry oak.
This vintage, marks the return to full production and excellent quality for our Lenswood grower, after the damaging 2019 fires.
The balance has come from the usual vineyard in the Piccadilly sub region. It is a multi-clonal wine, in this case MV6, 114, 115, D4V2, D5V12 and 18GM.
The clones were kept separate and all cold soaked and hand plunged in open fermenters. Each batch was pressed separately and run to French oak barrels, 25% new. After malolactic fermentation a rigorous barrel fermentation was carried out
and only the best barrels (about 85%) were included in the final blend.
