It’s restrained and delicately aromatic on the nose with crunchy apple, lime peel and green tea aromas, followed by a concentrated palate offering linear mouthfeel backed by racy acidity. Wonderfully structured with outstanding clarity and tension, finishing persistent and ultra elegant.

This fruit is from a classic Riesling vineyard situated on the famed strip of Terra Rossa soil which runs to the east of the township of Watervale in the Clare Valley. The 2023 vintage was notable for the development of ripe flavours at lower than usual sugar levels, giving full flavoured but lower alcohol wines.

Riesling is perhaps the ultimate expression of ‘wine made in the vineyard’. The fruit was crushed, chilled and immediately pressed with all pressings separated. The free run juice was cold settled to clarify it and was then fermented cold in stainless steel tanks and prepared for bottling as early as possible to retain its bright fruit characters.
