Dark, rich, and concentrated, this Cabernet Malbec leaps out of the glass with bright aromas of mulberries and blackberries, along with hints of cedar, spice and soft roasted strawberries. Packed with dark savoury fruit characters, the palate delivers wave upon wave of flavour, balanced with a soft acidity and an elegant and tactile structure. A subtle oak profile and fruit texture give this single vineyard fruit a soft, silky finish with astonishing length.

The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our very own ‘Home Block’ estate vineyard, on the Eastern Ridge of the Barossa Valley. The rows are orientated north south and the vineyard captures most of the afternoon sun. The shallow soils consist of innocuous clay and loams over white non-reactive clays. This coupled with the orientation and aspect, allow perfect conditions for early ripening. Whilst the Malbec comes from the Western ranges of the Barossa in Marananga

About Seabrook Wines

Seabrook Wines is a classic winery in every sense – it is an estate vineyard with a 20ha Vineyard of Shiraz, Cabernet and Mataro. The wines are made on site by Hamish Seabrook who is both the Winemaker and Vigneron. Hamish and Jo live onsite and tend to the vineyard year round with the belief that great wines are made in the vineyard.

Varieties such as Pinot Grigio and Riesling are also grown in the cooler climates of Adelaide Hills and Eden Valley by contracted growers and then made onsite. There is even a Great Western Shiraz available from old family vines.

William Seabrook first established the family business in Melbourne as Wine Merchants in 1878 which traded for four generations and over 100 years. The Generations range is a tip of the hat to those predecessors. Hamish is the first Winemaker of the family and the connection with the wine industry has always been strong with the Seabrook family name.
