About Steels Gate Wines
Steels Gate Wines is led by co-owners and vignerons Matthew Davis and Brad Atkins, who bring over 15 years of experience in the wine industry. Matthew manages viticulture across the estate’s two vineyard blocks, while Brad oversees the restaurant and cellar door at their Dixons Creek property.
Both come together throughout the year for wine production. Steels Gate is committed to environmental sustainability, employing dry-grown, minimal intervention practices, including organic fungicide use and no herbicides or pesticides. Their Home Block Vineyard, planted in the late 1970s, was revived after being purchased in 2009.
In 2018, they expanded by acquiring a Dixons Creek vineyard, adding Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and more to their offerings.
