Ours is a bare and raw Barbera, not smoothed by any passage in wood and indeed characterized by a sharp acidity and usually by an important alcohol content. A full-bodied wine, but with a shorter finish than a Nebbiolo and played on fruit rather than complexity and elegance. The most classic pairing can only be the Piedmontese mixed boiled meat.

Grapes coming partly from Roero and partly from the vineyards around Borgata Torriglione, near the cellar. Barbera is the only vine on which we systematically thin out each year, in order to limit its production and yield per hectare. The alcoholic fermentation takes place exclusively in cement and lasts about 12-15 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation in concrete or steel tanks and cold stabilization outside or in thermo-conditioned steel tanks. After stabilization, the wine continues to age for a few months in concrete, steel or fiberglass before being bottled, usually between April and May of the year following the harvest.

About Trediberri Wines

Berri is a small village in the westernmost part of La Morra, close to the Tanaro river and therefore in the extreme west of the Barolo area. There, in 2007, Nicola , his father Federico and his friend Vladimiro bought 5 hectares for the exclusive production of Barolo. The Trediberri winery was born , or rather the “three of Berri”.

On the market since 2011, today we vinify 8 hectares of vineyards: in addition to the 5 hectares in the Berri mention, we own about 2 hectares in the Rocche dell’Annunziata and Torriglione mentions – where we produce Barolo, Barbera and Sauvignon Blanc – and we rent about one hectare of Nebbiolo adapted to Barolo in the Capalot mention, also in La Morra.

We are a very young, artisan family winery, without coats of arms with prancing horses and unfurled flags. We have no history, but that’s fine with us: talking about the present, through our wines.
