This 2023 Syrah from Stevens Valley delivers a refined expression of cool-climate winemaking. Its deep magenta hue invites you in, while the nose opens with vibrant blackcurrant pastille, juniper berry, and hints of baking spices.

On the palate, the wine is focused, offering ripe red berries layered with balanced acidity and fine, silky tannins. The savory spice is subtle yet persistent, providing structure without overwhelming the fruit’s purity.

Aged for 10 months in oak puncheons and barriques, with 10% new oak, this Syrah boasts an elegant integration of oak influence, supporting the wine’s freshness and complexity. Pair this wine with charred beets, goat cheese, and rucola drizzled with balsamic to highlight its nuanced flavors.

Certified organic, this vintage benefited from ideal weather conditions following a cool spring. The steady warmth and cool evenings allowed for even ripening and exceptional acid retention, culminating in a harvest that began just one week later than usual, under pristine skies.

Voyager Estate is one of the founding wine estates in Margaret River, conceived by Michael Wright—a farmer and regional pioneer.

Established in 1978, in 2018 Voyager Estate celebrated 40 years since our original plantings. All our wines are 100% estate grown, made and bottled, and reflect the unique qualities of our place in Stevens Valley with its undulating slopes, warm summers and cooling maritime breezes.

We are one of Australia’s most innovative producers of world-class Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and by 2023 we’ll be Certified Organic.

Our aim is to shine a light on what makes our unique place in Margaret River so special. Both through how we grow and make our wine, and how we share the experience of it with every visitor that walks through our door.
