Our vineyard is located in Mudgee on the Central Tablelands of New South Wales Approximately 260kms. North of Sydney. The Mudgee region has been producing wine grapes for many year, its oldest vineyard was established in 1858.
We planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay grape varieties in 1994 with Shiraz and further Chardonnay vines being in 1996. Other varieties have since been planted. The vineyard are within the old Putta Bucca Estate subdivision and we have have adopted that name together with Federation hill for our wines.
Federation Hill was the name given by Mudgee residents to the location where a picnic was held in January 1901 to celebrate the birth of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Our vineyard now occupy the picnic site and affectionately the Federation Hill range was so named for our premium range of wines.
