Wild Oats Cabernet Merlot is a bright, vibrant style of red wine with lifted herbal and blackcurrant flavours. Smooth and Long. Best shared with friends over roast or BBQ red meats.
The aim with this blend of two grape varieties was to produce a wine with both structure and personality. Cabernet’s generous blackcurrant and mulberry red fruit characters jump to the fore, with smooth tannins and gentle French oak influence. Will certainly age will if you wish but drinks very well right now.

As a feisty young sailor, Bob Oatley was given the nickname ‘Wild Oats’. It is now the memorable name of the family’s most popular wine range and their incredibly successful yacht Wild Oats XI – the record breaking winner of Australia’s own bluewater classic: the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
