VINTAGE 2024 – a warm & dry vintage highlighted by a very early start, excellent marri blossom, and some challenging heat spikes. Whites & Roses were picked earlier than ever and showed excellent fruit vibrancy.

VARIETIES 72% Shiraz; 23% Cabernet Sauvignon; 2.5% Pinot Noir; 2.5% Piot Gris

APPEARANCE A bright blush of red & pink.

AROMA Fresh and lifted aromatics of red currant, cherry blossom and watermelon.

PALATE The palate is juicy and flavoursome with a soft and delicate mouthfeel. Bright and fleshy fruit notes of crunchy red apple, watermelon and ripe raspberry are balanced by a delicate grape sweetness and a soft, citrus acid line.

WINEMAKING A select parcel of young-vine Shiraz was picked early to retain natural acids and bright fruit aromatics. Pressed off skins after 18hrs, the resultant bright pink juice was fermented cool in stainless steel – with fermentation stopped early to retain a hint of natural grape sugar.

OAK DETAIL Nil. This wine was fermented cool in stainless steel tanks to ensure maximum retention of aromatics and fruit flavour.

CELLARING Designed for immediate drinking.

About Fermoy Estate

About Fermoy Estate is a premium winery nestled in the beautiful region of Wilyabrup, the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the famous wine making region of Margaret River, Western Australia. It was established in 1985 by John and Beryl Anderson.

Wilyabrup, with its rich, loamy, well-drained soils, perfect temperatures and quality old vines is a purveyor’s paradise. Little wonder it is considered the ‘golden triangle’ of Margaret River. The main varieties grown are Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Shiraz.

The winery is located right next door to the vineyard, so the grapes can be processed without delay, ensuring their premium qualities are retained. The winery processes some 350 tonnes of grapes each year.

Fermoy is one of the original established vineyards of the Margaret River region, but continually seeks to incorporate new ideas and technology. This reflects Fermoy’s ongoing quest to bring you the very best wines, while ensuring that everything we do is environmentally sustainable.
