The blend is: Graciano (50%) Touriga Nacional (40%) Shiraz (10%)

A gorgeous savoury, mid-weight wine showing white peppercorn, violet, blue and red fruits on the nose. The tannins are gritty, savoury and long. Drink with a charcuterie plate.

We pick and ferment the 3 varieties separately so they can develop their own varietal characters before they get blended prior to a little bit of oak maturation and bottling.

Grapes were all picked ripe, but not overripe – the name of the game for Heretic is a balanced mid weight wine.

Inviting aromas of strawberries, raspberries, paprika and ground clove. Medium-bodied with gentle tannins. Fresh and fruity on the palate with a hint of white pepper at the finish. James Suckling > 90 pts

About Bosworth Wines

Battle of Bosworth make organically grown wines from our family vineyards located in the Willunga McLaren Vale, South Australia. Battle of Bosworth was established in 2001 by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith on vineyards established by Joch’s parents in the 1970’s.

The wines take their name from the original Battle of Bosworth, fought on Bosworth Field, Leicestershire, England in 1485. Battle of Bosworth make wines with flavour, texture, purity and balance, that best express the unique characteristics of their McLaren Vale foothills site.

We also make the Spring Seed Wine Co range of wines, which as with the Bosworth wines, are made using organically grown grapes from our McLaren Vale vineyards. Joch likes to call it our parallel label.
