About Bois De Rolland
Situated just 17 kilometres from Saint Emilion on the Coubeyrac plateau of clay and limestone – the blend that helps to express some of the finest wines in Bordeaux. The property has the perfect exposure of a plateau with south facing vines upon ancient sedimentary soils allow the Geromin family to produce fabulous wines.
The first generation of the Geromin family to labour these soils put in back breaking hours of work to produce a fabulous expression of this wonderful terroir. They have now passed the baton to their 2 daughters. Audrey the eldest who learnt her trade at La Tour Blanche is now the winemaker, while her younger sister Marion is responsible for the distribution. Marion cut her teeth in distribution in Kuala Lumpur and worked in the Ribera del Duero region for 3 years.
The fine tannins are present on the nose and these hints of vanilla are joined by crushed strawberries. The wine is full bodied and concentrated. The finale is fresh, fruity and gently woven with sweet tannins.
