About Grandin
Since 1886, Grandin has produced an excellent quality sparkling wine from the Loire Valley, home to the world’s finest sparkling wines. At a reasonable price, Grandin produces exclusively by the “Méthode Traditionelle.” Identical to the method used in Champagne, the “Méthode Traditionelle” requires rigorous grape selection and constant quality.
The selection of base wines is made among the different grape varieties and depending on the vintage characteristics in order to obtain the desired style. The grape varieties that can be used in variable proportions are: Ugni Blanc,Chardonnay, Colombard,Chenin, Airen,et Macabeu.
Faithful to the work of Henri Grandin, in the respect of the traditions, the wines are elaborated according to the method known as Méthode Traditionnelle.
After the first fermentation, the base wines are assembled in the unique style of Grandin : fresh sparkling wines, delicately fruity.
The second and slow fermentation, carried out at low temperature, (9 months minimum), enables Grandin to acquire its subtlety and its finesse.
After riddling and disgorging, the dosage is added. It is the final touch. It brings sweetness and balance. Winery Notes.
