The Rosada Rosé is similar to the Rosado and Rosato wines of Spain and Italy. Each year the Rosé is made from grapes that are shown to be the freshest early on, their bright flavours in the vineyard clearly reflected in the glass.

Its rose colour is produced by the limited time it has on the grape skins, which impart colour into the juice.

The Hollick Estates Rosada Rosé is made in a savoury European style. Crisp and dry, the wine is layered with wild strawberries, guava and musk.

Picked early to retain natural acidity and capture just-ripe red berry aromas and flavours. The fruit was crushed, destemmed, and pressed without delay to prevent too much colour pick-up from the skins.

After cold settling, the free run juice was fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to retain and enhance the fresh, vibrant red fruited characteristics of Pinot Noir.

The wine was fermented until bone-dry as it remains, providing a crisp, savoury, refreshing style of Rosé.

After short maturation in stainless steel the wine was bottled early to preserve the delicate flavours created in the vineyard.

About Hollick Estate Wines

Established in 1983, Hollick is a boutique winery located on the famed terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, in the Limestone Coast Wine Zone of South Australia. Driven by quality and a hands-on approach, all Hollick Estates wines are crafted from premium estate-grown fruit.

“Pride of Place” refers to our pride and respect for the role played by the “place” in which our vineyards are grown, the natural characteristics imparted by the vineyard situation, and the influences which our management practices make to the final product. Our carefully selected vineyard sites in Coonawarra and Wrattonbully have clearly identifiable regional characteristics which we showcase in each and every bottle of Hollick Estates wine.

Each wine bottled under the Hollick Estates label represents the history of the site where it was grown. Careful viticultural practises, overseen by Stuart Sharam, are married succinctly with minimalist winemaking techniques by Winemaker Trent Nankivell to ensure each bottle retains unique characters from the vineyard where it is sourced.
