Who would pick this carrying 54grams of sugar? Well none of us to be honest. It is a wine of pleasure weaving through the elements but held together by tingling acidity and granitic minerality. Drink anytime of the day.

Pineapple, pink guava and pink grapefruit on the nose. The palate is medium dry with a touch of richness, mouth coating, salivating and elegant. Intially pink grapefruit, pineapple, yellow peach flavours lead to notes of honey, whipped cream and crushed stones. Length is good, the wine is elegant, moreish and delicious.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS
A rather wet winter into a rather wet spring meant difficult flowering conditions (lowering yields) but big healthy green canopies, which our dry grown vineyards were very happy about.

Long cool mild summer at Caveat, with a longer ripening period than usual. We had to be agile to hit the right picking windows, but are really happy with how the fruit came out, quite precise whilst showing a few exotic fruit notes.
