Winemakers Tim Adams and Brett Schutz continue the Mr. Mick philosophy of making affordable wines for everyone to enjoy. In its 10th year the 2020 Mr. Mick Rosé continues to epitomize this philosophy with its alluring lifted aromas and flavours of strawberries and cream with hints of lychee and white peach to follow. Soft fruit lingers on the palate before a cleansing, long finish. It’s a wine that leaves you wanting another glass. spice.

Sangiovese, Tempranillo and Grenache was crushed, chilled and held cold soaking separately in the press in order to extract vibrant red berry flavours from the skins. The juices were cold settled and fermented separately prior to careful blending, stabilisation, clarification and bottling. Very slight residual sweetness remains in order to enhance the natural fruit characters.

Mr Mick is named after K.H. (Mr Mick) Knappstein, a legend within the Australian winemaking industry.

One of Mr Mick’s passions in life was to make wines for everyone to enjoy, a tradition his last apprentice, local winemaker Tim Adams continues in his name. Today Tim and his wife Pam are proud custodians of this landmark property. Their wines are made from grapes grown in Clare Valley vineyards, with a style to suit every palate; and continue to follow Knappstein’s philosophy of making fresh, easy drinking, lifestyle wines.
