Clean, crisp and fresh. Hints of white cherry, raspberry and red grapefruit, culminating in a rich mid-palate, flowing harmoniously into a creamy and elegant finish. Delicate notes of crushed rose petal, wild strawberries and cherry blossom.

Cool climate wines celebrating our diverse altitude, latitude, climate and ancient soils of the Adelaide Hills. These unique environmental influences are reflected in our wines; intense fruit flavours, beautiful natural acidity, balance, purity and sophistication.

Selected from a single Adelaide Hills vineyard and harvested in the earliest hours of the morning, fruit was left on skins for one hour before pressing into stainless steel tanks and left to settle. Clean juice was then racked off light lees for a slow and cool fermentation, inoculated with an aromatic cultured yeast designed to enhance varietal characteristics. The resulting wine is bright, clean and crisp. The palate is fresh, hinting of white cherry, raspberry and grapefruit, flowing harmoniously into a creamy and elegant finish.

About The Lane Vineyard

The Lane Vineyard has been the custodian of an enviable piece of pristine Adelaide Hills terroir since the first vines were planted in 1993. Sitting 400m high atop the rolling hills adjacent the Onkaparinga Valley, the vineyards enjoy the warm days and cool nights that the Adelaide Hills Wine Region is so famous for. Chardonnay, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot make up the estate vineyards, producing small batch, artisan, single vineyard wines displaying the pedigree and provenance that has made The Lane what it is today.

In addition to the vineyards and wines, the Lane estate is home to an acclaimed contemporary restaurant and tasting room where, just 3 kilometres from the historic village of Hahndorf and a scenic 25-minute drive from Adelaide CBD, visitors quickly feel a world away.

What makes our wine region so special and dynamic, is its ability to produce an incredibly diverse list of grape varieties ideally suited to countless aspects and micro climates stretching some 90km north to south and 30km east to west. And so in addition to our estate vineyards, our winemaking team works closely with long term Adelaide Hills grape growers to source specific varieties in ideal sites. Nebbiolo, Riesling and Pinot Blanc from Woodside, Sangiovese from Kersbrook, Viognier from Nairne and Pinot Noir from Lobethal to name a few.
