Single Vineyard Vermentino is an expression of a textured and refreshing elegant white wine.

Hailing from the first plantings of Vermentino in the Barossa Valley these vines are situated in Light Pass, a sub-region of the Barossa Valley, with two long single rows running east-west.

Michael and Susan’s intentions since 2011 are to make interesting textured whites, in traditional ways paying homage to the heritage of the grape varietal and country of origin.

Handpicked fruit, influenced by Elevage and skin contact, left to ferment naturally with a small sulphur addition post ferment and partial malolactic.

About Yelland & Papps Wines

Yelland & Papps is for wine lovers and enthusiasts of small batch, individual, elegant and distinctive wines. Those wanting a connection with a passionate, hands-on family winery.

Susan & Michael Papps shared love of wine and dream of producing their own wines from the vineyards of the world-famous Barossa Valley wine region came to fruition in 2005 with the establishment of their boutique wine brand, Yelland & Papps.

From the earliest days of Yelland & Papps, the relationships with longstanding Barossa wine growing families with a reputation for excellent farming and the highest quality grapes formed the foundation of the fledgling wine business.

These long-term friendships with many of the region’s best wine growers, each farming their wines on a selection of the famous terroirs that we have recognised across the Barossa, give Michael and Susan boundless options as they compose their individual wines each year.

The purchase of their beloved Nuraip Road property in 2010, with it’s own estate vineyards and winery sheds offered increased options for quality control and took Yelland & Papps to the next level as their soulful and thoughtfully produced wines garnered much praise from wine critics and a legion of fans who enjoy purely-fruited, minimal-intervention wines from Australia’s most famous wine region.

Today, Susan & Michael bring up their young family, raise livestock, grow their own produce and produce a range of diverse wines that reflect the intricate soils and microclimates of the Barossa.
