Terroir
Côtes du Jura appellation. Vines are 40 years old average. The vines lies on Marne grise with a deep Clay sedimentation. Our Poulsard are spread over two parcels; One exposed South East and the other one full West..
Vinification
Destemed by hand. Maceration at 6°c for about 10 days. Natural fermentation with « remontage » once a day for 10 days. Ageing in 500 L wooden cask (4 Years old barrel minimum) for 8 months. Final blending and extra maturation for 3 months in stainless steel. No filtration, no fining.
About the Jura Wine Region
Jura wine is French wine produced in the Jura département. Located between Burgundy and Switzerland, this cool climate wine region produces wines with some similarity to Burgundy and Swiss wine. The majority of the region’s vineyards are found at altitudes between 820 and 1,310 ft (250-400 m) between the plains of the Bresse region and the Jura Mountains.
